The relocation company Moving-on announces the launch of the first worldwide online relocation e-shop that supports the mobility of individuals and their families, available at www.moving-online.com. The Portugal based mobility specialist wants to offer customized and low-cost online services, opening this service to new consumer segments.
Isabel Cudell, founding partner of Moving-On, says that “today people are looking for a quick, hassle free and effective integration in their new location, preferably with maximum support at a minimum cost. I think we ́ve managed to put together these ingredients combining our e-shop with the RelocateYourself.com platform that supports it. This is a solution outside of the corporate scope, accessible to any person in the process of relocating. In the case of the corporate world, we are now in a position to provide our customers with lower priced packages for any of their relocating employees. A larger chunk of employees can be covered by this benefit due to cost reduction; something any company would like to hear today”.
The e-commerce site offers a four-step buying experience, accompanied by a chat service to support online user queries and doubts. The virtual shop offers a variety of ready-to-use service packages and prices, from the more introductory Getting Started package, to the Student Housing or Immigration packages. The prices of services are given in stars, which are deducted from the customer credit after a service is performed by a local relocation Angel. Customers can access their account to buy and use star credit, send questions, check answers and view their activity history.
About how receptive traditional relocation customers are to the new Moving-Online e-shop, Isabel Cudell referred that “The traditional hand-in-hand relocation approach is not threatened by the online version; we expect to have customers for both channels. It’s all about the customers’ type of needs: Moving-Online offers advice, orientation and information services carried out by specialists; the traditional Moving-On relocation is a turn-key service also provided by specialists, but where there is a physical accompaniment and we actually manage to replace our customer on most outings.”
About Portugal still being an attractive destination in spite of the current economic context, the manager adds that “Our experience in the field shows us that we are still receiving workforce and students in our country. The available offer of university courses lectured in English and the excellent quality of life that Portugal offers are good enough reasons for foreign students; for example, approximately 3.000 students a year enter our country via Erasmus. On a corporate level and as an example we have the case of the large call-centres that are arriving and growing in our country, bringing with them employees from all over the world. We feel a greater need to be more aware and to be able to present adapted solutions to the current situation.”
Commenting about the main advantages of the Moving-online e-shop, the mobility specialist highlighted that “our online services reduce time wasted getting places and the relocation process is managed from the comfort of our customers own home, based on an entirely paper free process. We have qualified recommendations available in one place, which replace hours of internet search and the platform also organizes, categorizes and archives our customer’s relocation information. Finally, it’s a private and secure access that does not require installation, available 24/7.”
